Add Color to Any Garden with KNOCK OUT® Roses
Double Pink KNOCK OUT® Rose
KNOCK OUT® roses are one of the most popular types of shrub roses on the market today. They meet just about every definition of what an ideal rose should be. KNOCK OUT® roses are the least labor-intensive of any rose you can buy. But at the same time, the vivid colors can make any yard look dazzling.
If you have always wanted to add brilliant rose colors to your garden without any of the problems normally associated with them, you have got to check out KNOCK OUT® roses. They have virtually no pest or disease problems. They can grow in cold northern areas with winter snow or in the hottest southern regions. They are widely available at nurseries and online.
One of the most important characteristics of KNOCK OUT® roses is that they bloom with stunning colors every five to six weeks from spring to the first killing frost in the fall. William Radler, a Wisconsin rose gardener bred them and they were an All American Award winner when they first appeared in 2000. Even if you are a rose beginner, you are sure to have success.
What is your favorite color rose?
You will find the colorful KNOCK OUT® roses in a variety of colors, all of which will brighten the landscape. Take a look at some of the choices:
The original KNOCK OUT® rose was bright red–some nurseries even call it fluorescent. Its blossoms were the color of bright red cherries. The foliage turned purplish in the fall and the red-orange hips were a great look during fall foliage. Today, you can add more red to your yard with the original or the newer double variety. Each flower has double the petals of the regular type. That means you can add twice as much color to your flower garden or backyard.
Another choice in is the blushing pink rose.
It has flowers around three inches across and puts out blooms all through the summer into fall. So does the pink KNOCK OUT® rose, which is more of a medium pink. This variety will match up well with other garden flowers. Like the rest of the KNOCK OUT® roses, it will thrive in the heat and cooler temperatures.
The last of these is the pink double. It’s identical to the red double except for its beautiful blossom which is medium pink. If you really want to add some splashes of color to your garden, you can’t go wrong with the sunny KNOCK OUT® rose which has brilliant yellow flowers which turn to a wonderful pastel yellow-cream. The yellow is the most colorful in cool weather.
The last of your rose colors is the rainbow.
Rainbow KNOCK OUT® Rose
While it’s not all the colors of the rainbow, it is a very nice coral pink with a brighter yellow base. Some gardeners call it an apricot color. Like all the other KNOCK OUT® roses, it resists most pests and diseases.
These roses can also get by on just 4-5 hours of sun, needing only a little organic rose fertilizer to thrive.
If you want a colorful garden but have been afraid to try roses, KNOCK OUT® roses are the answer. Reds, pinks, yellows to almost cream-color flowers will delight everyone who passes by.
